Celebs spotted at the Dove, Beauty at every age event

accreditation

Dove has once again come up with an amazing campaign that encourages women to feel comfortable with their real ages, no matter what.

The campaign features familiar faces like TV personalities Hulisani Ravele and Melanie Bala.

To my girl reading this right now, I've got a question for you: How Old Are You? You may have answered that question without even thinking twice, but sadly, that's not the reality for most women. According to new global research conducted by Dove, only 10 percent of women are proud to reveal how old they are and will often conceal their real age. Ladies, only YOU can turn this around for YOU! I am 28. And I'm proud to say it! And as I get older I will continue to be proud of my age and celebrate it because those years that have passed have made me the woman I am today. There is beauty at EVERY age. And it starts within you. #DoveZA #beautyateveryage #ownit #youareBEAUTIFUL (I challenge you to really own your #beautyateveryage by posting a pic of yourself with how old you are and the hashtag #beautyateveryage. Get all your friends, moms, aunts, and sisters to do it too. Accepting our beauty starts with each and every one of us. ??)

"How old are you?" Ask my daughter this question and she will proudly tell you she is five years old, and for good measure, throw in that she's turning 6 in February. When does that change? Somewhere along the way, our age becomes no longer a source of pride but of embarrassment. A lot of women I know, will shush you or give you the side-eye if you ask their age. I think I'm pretty self assured but it's hard to maintain a level of confidence when the very definition of beauty, by media and the world around us, is youth. We get bombarded daily by images, articles & adverts that try and convince us that beauty is the sole preserve of the young. It's hard to fight that. But with a daughter, I have to try. The older I become, the more I stand in my truth. Beauty is not what's on the outside but what's in your heart, in your mind and in your soul. I am beautiful. At 43. At every age. #BeautyAtEveryAge #DoveZA #nofilter #nophotoshop #?
