2. Slowly whisk in the maize meal, beating out all the lumps.
3.Reduce the heat to medium and allow the pap to simmer with the lid closed for 20 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes. 4.Add the peppers and thyme. Cook for a further 10 minutes at a low heat. 5.Set aside and allow to cool. 6.Once the pap has cooled slightly, use a tablespoon to scoop some pap out. Flatten with your palm and place a cheese square in the middle. 7.Roll up the pap to form a ball, covering the cheese completely. 8.Heat oil and deep-fry the pap ball until golden. 9. Drain on paper towels. 10. Serve warm with your favourite dipping sauce.
