Curl power this party season

While sleek, straight hair never goes out of style, adding some curl power to your locks every now and again is a great idea too. Stars like Bonang Matheba and Amanda du Pont are experts at rocking curls.

Celebrity Hairstylist Phil Smith, creator of the Phil Smith BE GORGEOUS haircare range, has given us his top tips for getting the perfect wave.

“Curls and loose waves are great party hair styles,” he told Cover Media. “They are versatile and stylish, and can also be adapted to suit various lengths and hair types.

“To achieve this look, try using the new salon professional styler from Phil Smith BE GORGEOUS, which will give you the freedom and flexibility to create beautiful free-flowing curls with no kinks, which last all day. Add a quick spritz of hairspray et voila, you’ll look red carpet ready in a flash.”

“Using your brow as a guide, make a diagonal parting to just in front of the crown and then take a triangular section half way up the parting and comb across to the top of the brow of the opposite eye – this is your fringe section,” they explained.
