We often get dark patches on different parts of our bodies and this can limit us in terms of what we want to wear.

Lemon juice

Lemon is a great natural bleaching agent. Rub slices of lemon to your problematic area everyday before taking a bath and rinse well with water. Remember these dark patches didn’t apear over night so allow time to see results.

Potato or cucumber slices

These two ingredients are not only good in salads, but they’re beneficial to your daily beauty routine. Potatoes contain catecholase, a natural antioxidant that will gently make your patches appear lighter. Grate a potato or cucumber, using a cotton pad to dab into the water and rubbing the dark patches, be it on underarms, dark knees or elbows. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. For significant results repeat twice a day.

Rose water

Usually dark patches are a result of lack of moisture and drynesss, which often leads to irratation and itchyness. This is why rose water is a perfect solution. It contains antioxidants that will not only restore moisture, but also makes the skin more softer and radiant.

Tomato juice

It contains vitamin A, which is perfect for fading away blemishes and dark marks. It works even better when combined with avocado. Mix the two ingredients into a paste, apply over desired area and let it rest for 20 minutes, rinse with warm water then follow with cold water.

Almond oil

Almond oil is oustanding in repairing the skin because of its richness in vitamin E. It also serves as a moisturiser for problematic areas, which are usually dry and flakey. Massage this daily after taking a bath and witness your knees get radiant and moisturised.
