Fashion hits & misses from the SAMAs

accreditation

The biggest music awards took place over the weekend at the Durban ICC. Though the ceremony can be described as awkward and lacking in entertainment, we got to see beautiful and not-so-pretty celebrity looks.

Here's who wore what.

Nomuzi Mabena

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.01.12 AM

Nomuzi was dressed by popular designer,Gert-Johan Coetzee. We aren't too sure about the dress but its refreshing to see the presenter in something different. The hair and make-up look great.

Nomzamo Mbatha

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.01.40 AM

Nomzamo wore a gown by Orapeleng Module. It's great on her body but we would've loved to see her in something different. This looks too familiar.

Emtee

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.01.58 AM

Emtee looks like he was going to a day time event with his friends. A nice tailored suit would have made a difference.

Lunga Shabalala

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.11.12 AM

Emtee should take a page from Lunga's fashion book.

Nothemba Madumo

We admire how King Loot can be a tomboy but can also switch it up when needed..

Riky Rick

We aren't sure about Ricky, what look was he going for?

Khanyi Mbau

Zakes looked great, but what's with the briefcase?

Katlego Maboe

There isn't much to say about Katlego's look. It's a nice suit.

Pearl Modiadie

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.06.39 AM

Pearl owned her look, she looks amazing. From the hair, to the make-up and her dress, we can't fault her for anything.

Sinazo covered her babies this time.

Mmabatho presented one of the awards and looked stunning while doing it.

Shekhinah

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.09.26 AM

The Back to the Beach singer looks good but could've done better. She looks like she's going church – not an awards ceremony.

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.09.44 AM

Lerato sparkled in gold.

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.10.26 AM

The suits are a bit tight but we're glad the DJs dressed for the occasion.

Blue Mbombo

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.10.57 AM

Once again, Blue slayed the red carpet.

Bonang Matheba

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.21.48 AM

Seems like Queen B took inspiration from Kim Kardashian's Met Gala dress. She owned the look.

Thando Thabethe

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.21.59 AM

Thando walked the red carpet in this Quiteria & George gown. She's one of our best dressed.

Andisiwe Dweba

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.22.09 AM

Generations actress Andisiwe looks good.

Fifi Cooper

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.22.19 AM

We almost didn't recognize Fifi, the rapper hardly wears dresses and we are impressed.

Pearl Thusi

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.22.29 AM

Pearl's hair and make-up looks good but this dress doesn't do anything for her beautiful frame.

Mbali Nkosi

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.22.39 AM

Mbali stunned in red.

AKA

Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 10.22.48 AM

Though AKA didn't win any award, he definitely wins in this suit.
