The word ‘success’ doesn’t mean the same thing for every woman, even when it comes to business. Although there are some basic principles when it comes to success in business, it’s your individual approach that will bring you the success you want.

According to the Harvard Business Review, lack of determination is what’s holding many of us back. Putting words into action can be kickstarted by giving your brain a helping hand – imagine that sense of satisfaction you’ll get once success comes your way.

To support women on their journeys to success and help them overcome the challenges they may experience along the way, 1st for Women, who offers tailor-made insurance that provides peace of mind in women’s daily lives, offers the following tips with a particular focus on your career.

Believe in your inner leader:

Have confidence in your ability to lead, should you choose this path. You’re already doing it everyday, now just harness it for the business world.

Organise your way:

We’re not all admin people but there are many ways to improve your organisation skills.  Prioritise important things first so you’ll be track them more effectively.

Be a skillful negotiator:

This is something you probably do all the time, especially with your family and kids. Adapt those skills  but always with a plan and desired outcome in mind.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Your road to success will be unique and you may need to adapt your approach along the way. Keeping these tips top of mind, however, will make navigating your way just a little  bit easier.
