It’s easy to envy people who have lush lashes without even trying. But getting your own lovely eyelashes isn’t mission impossible, especially when tips and advice from experts are so simple to follow.

Manjul Treohan, founder of SO ME Beauty, has shared some inside knowledge into how you can make your lashes thicker, fuller and stronger.

Castor oil is a great product which nourishes and strengths lashes. Be sure to remove mascara each night before bed and use make-up remover that’s infused with oil to help keep them nourished.

When it comes to which products you use, you need to be careful too, waterproof mascara is known to dry lashes out can also be difficult to remove. The more you struggle to get the make-up off, the more damage you’re doing to your eyes, so avoid those options and make sure you give your lashes a break every now and then by going au natural.

It’s not just about what you put onto your lashes though, with the beauty expert explaining what you eat has a big impact on them too.

“Diet plays an important factor in healthy long lashes, be sure to eat a diet packed full of protein and vitamins to help promote eyelash hair growth. Foods such as fish, eggs, beans and yoghurt are great for helping your eyelashes to grow, as well as soy protein,” she added.

Other things that are usually a part of your diet can also be used in different ways to help your lashes, such as green tea. Manjul praised the beneficial properties of the herbal drink and suggested a unique way to give your lashes some TLC.

“Dip a cotton ball in green tea and smear gently over your lashes, this will help stimulate growth and clean the follicles which, in turn, allows lash growth to occur,” she revealed.
