Thabo “Tbo Touch” celebrates his 36th birthday today. Here are some reasons he remains one of SA’s most influential celebs.
He’s confident
He dressed as Iron Man for the launch of his Touch HD digital radio station and claimed he was on a mission to save radio. He’s also poached Metro FM’s big names including sports presenter Robert Marawa, and Glen Lewis who’salready the breakfast host on his station. Our Perfect Wedding’s Tembisa Mdoda is also on the station’s line-up.
Always witty and quirky
Who can forget when he caused a Twitter meltdown when he announced he was resigning from Metro FM last year? Remember his resignation letter, which he signed off with “Sincerely Your Boy.”
Isn’t afraid to speak his mind
When news broke out that Bonang Matheba had resigned from Metro FM, he wasn’t shy to take the mickey out of the situation tweeting:
It's my birthday tomorrow and all I want is Queen B pic.twitter.com/wKawSK9qAr — Tbo Touch (@iamtbotouch) April 3, 2017
He’s an accomplished businessman
Outside of Touch HD digital radio station, Touch is also owner of Touch Warwick Wines. Last year his first bottle of Touch Warwick wine was auctioned for R1,3 million at The AfroAsia Cape Wine Auction at Klein Constantia farm. In 2015 he launched his female fragrance line Touch Femme.
He’s a great dad to sons, Ruri and Zuri
