What are you measuring?

It will depend on what you consider as sex. Foreplay, oral and cuddling will obviously make your measurement longer than when you’re only focusing on penetration and ejaculation.

How do you measure?

For a man to qualify as a 1-minuter, do you actually time him or the assumption is made just by how short your session lasted? It’s very difficult to measure accurately unless you keep a close eye on the clock while you doing it, but that takes away all the fun.

This burning question got sex therapists around the world wondering. This is how Dr Brendon Zietsch measures sex: 1-2 minutes is too short; adequate is for 3-7 minites; and the sought after lasts for 7-15 minutes.

Here are some of the responses we got from women:

“I want 15 minutes including foreplay and 10 for penetration to ejaculation”

“I need 1 hour for the whole act; 25 minutes for penetration and coming”

“10 minutes is enough for me”

“7-10 minutes is fine; anything longer can probably leave me sore”

“10 minutes is okay”

So it seems the average measurement is 10 minutes. Do you agree?
