Ditch your everyday look and get creative by experimenting with colour, glitter and jewels, and trust us, no look is going to be considered outlandish when it comes to partying in a field or on the beach.
For beginners to facial embellishment, you can’t go wrong by starting with dramatic eye make-up. In fact it’s pretty much essential and nothing says drama better than leopard print. So if you’re not keen on glitter and only want to wear jewels on your fingers then try this stunning Wild Cat Eye look created by top make-up artist Liz Pugh exclusively for make-up brand Eyeko.
Read on for Liz’s tutorial on how to create lovely leopard print eyes.
How to get Wild Cat Eyes
Prep your eyelid with a single colour as a base for the looks. First using and an eye shadow in Bronze, draw colour over the whole lid using the brush or fingers to blend up and out from the socket. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Wear Shadow in Beach Bronze is a good alternative.
Create a subtle kitten flick with Liquid Eyeliner close to the lash line to anchor the look ready for your leopard print. Make sure to keep a steady hand! Kat Von D Tattoo Liner also gives the inkiest of flicks.
This is the bit where you’ll need to unleash your inner Picasso. Using the precision brush tip on the Liquid Eyeliner draw small open circles haphazardly across the lid, to create the leopard print-like finish.
You don’t want it to look too uniform, so Liz advises mixing “in a few dots and dashes with Liquid eyeliner”, the combination of circles, plus the freehand dots and dashes should see your eyes look purr-ty good now.
And for the final flourish, says Liz, “Finish with two coats of mascara for standout lashes to balance your look.” Miaooow. You’re now looking like one fine feline!
