How to get Michelle Obama’s flowy hair

Healthy, glossy hair is no longer a privilege reserved for First Ladies. Rocking Michelle Obama’s hairstyles is only a little TLC away:

  1. Invest in a serum
A silicone serum works to fill the gaps in the hair (from wear and tear) and seal them to give hair a glossy look and touch.
  1. Nourish regularly
As chemically treated hair has been stripped of its nutrients and bonds, it’s important to constantly nourish the strands by deep conditioning. Treat your hair at least once a week.
  1. Buy the right tools
When hair lies flat, light easily bounces of it creating a sheen. Use a blowdryer at a medium setting and brush hair in a downward motion (flat). Follow through with a flat iron. Opt for one with adjustable heat settings so as to not burn the hair.
  1. Apply moisturising oils
Use a concentrated hair oil once a week to further fortify the hair. Oil can get heavy and weigh down the hair (there goes the movement) so use sparingly and opt for a light-weight formula.
  • Spritz finishing spray
A finishing spray lightly holds the hair whilst adding a seeling gloss.
