Gone are the days where men can get away with going unnoticed for their appearance at the office. Its 2017 and men need to step up their game, no more untailored pants and unshaven chins! But luckily, they have us ladies to look out for them and guide them to become trendsetters and style seekers in their own right!
We spoke to Glen Summers – Educator and Training Manager at Sorbet Man about what he thinks is the essential grooming guide for guys to stay on top of their appearance at the office!
Ladies pass Glen’s go to guide on to your man and he’ll be sure to look and feel good:
Go for a rejuvenating facial once a month and don’t be scared to ask your skin therapist to recommend a skin care regime. A great cleanser, toner and moisturizer with an SPF will go along way to keep your skin looking young and fresh
Regular haircuts and tidy ups in between. Especially the hairs in the neck area that grow out quicker than the rest make sure you have them tidied up on a regular basis to keep you looking professional and neat.
If you are maintaining the bearded look make sure that the beard is trimmed down and lined up. Cheeks are kept clean. This will keep your beard ready for that all important meeting to land the big deal. (Pssstt.. why don’t you treat the man in your life with a Sorbet Man Wolfman treatment which includes a beard clipper and shape – this is ideal to ensure his facial hair is kept neat and tidy)
Invest in a good shampoo specifically designed for your hair type, a little goes a long way in keeping your locks looking on point. The second product to invest in is a great styling aid to tame your mane.
Please guys. You need to get a manicure. Don’t be shy or think it will tarnish your manly man rep at the office. Nothing says I’m here to do business like a strong manicured handshake and unless you do physical labour with your hands there is no excess for dirty nails. Sorry not sorry!
Go. To. The. Gym. It’s as simple as getting moving. If you don’t like a traditional gym try yoga, Crossfit, kickboxing, cycling or join a running club. We don’t mean become a pro-athlete, just go and work on your body it will not only make you feel better about yourself but it will do wonders for relieving some built up tension from the office.
