You’ve done the 30-day boot camp, and bought the beach wardrobe, but beauty is more than just skin deep, and photos for the ‘gram last for an eternity, so make sure once you hit the beach you strike the perfect selfie pose.
If your selfies tend to be underwhelming, you may need a few tips on how to perfectly present yourself in all your glory.
We asked St. Tropez global ambassador and co-founder of blog A Bikini A Day Natasha Oakley for her top tips on how to take the perfect bikini selfie.
Sunrise or sunset
Make sure you pick the best light, and that’s either first thing for early risers or later in the day. Avoid taking a selfie in the middle of the day as the sunlight is so bright and harsh. Either take it first thing in the morning light or at sunset as it’s much more flattering.
Get a healthy tan
Getting a head start on your glow is easy with self tan, and it’s also the best way to stay safe in the sun.
A glowing head-to-toe tan makes me feel gorgeous, confident and sexy. Everyone likes to look tanned, but it’s really important to do it in a healthy way. I don’t ever tan my face in the sun, so without self tan my face would always look lighter than the rest of my body.
Elongate your body
Think about your pose, and don’t just plonk yourself on a sunbed and snap away. Make sure you stand up straight as this will make a big difference and try to elongate your body where you can advises the lifestyle blogger.
Little things like pointing your toes and keeping your arms slightly away from your body will ensure they don’t appear larger than they are.
Don't forget to smile
Smile lots and look like you’re having a great time which is sure to make your followers double tap!
