Unathi on Tuesday gave her first interview on CliffCentral since leaving Metro FM at the end of March.
Speaking to Gareth Cliff she said of her departure: "I don't feel pressure and that is why I just left radio. I was on some 'I don't like what is going on right now and I am not going to put up with it anymore because I am great at what I do."'
She also mentioned that she felt the need to “bow out gracefully.”
She isn’t angry at the station’s management or hated them:
"There is a school of radio where we love each other and we are obsessed with radio and it is all we talk about."
And with life after Metro FM?
"I am ratchet! I am doing things that I never used to do. I love it," she said mentioning also that she loved staying up late now that she doesn’t have to wake up in the morning.
