Please tell us bit about your love for food/cooking.

I started cooking with my mom when I was 8 years old to help support her cooking business. I had to follow her and help and that was my first interaction with food. I realized I enjoyed doing it. Though I loved cooking, after matric I actually wanted to study  electrical engineering but the funds were not there so decided to go do something that I loved, which was cooking.

How has the journey been so far?

Its been great. The big turnaround was when I was a judge of Master chef which gave me  exposure and opened up other great opportunities such as radio and mcing at various events and also encouraging young kids to dream and believe they can do it.

My role is to unleash beautiful dishes that the crowd will enjoy.

What are some of the foods that we can indulge in this winter but wont expand our waists?

Seeing that there are summer vegetables throughout the year such Root veggies, sweet potatoes, turnips endugle in that. But also look at the times you eat, not too early and not late.
