Is he a mama’s boy?

Is he a mama’s boy?

There’s nothing wrong when a man has a close relationship with his mother; the problem is when he lets her dominate his life and decision-making. Here are signs to help you see if you’re dating a man or a mama’s boy.

Talk everyday

He spends hours on the phone talking to his mother instead of spending time with you. But he doesn’t talk to you about any of those problems, which is a clear sign he depends on her for decision making. His mother always calls him every day to check up on him if he has eaten and what he’s doing.

His mother comes unannounced

He has an intrusive mother who comes over unannounced for various reasons – to check up on him, do him favors, like cooking and doing laundry for him meanwhile you’re there. He doesn’t see any problem with his mother doing just that to him his mother is just showing him love.

He lives with her

This is an obvious sign he’s not ready to live on his own; he stills depends on his mother even though he has a well-paying job. If he has no plans to move out, and avoids conversations about your future life together, that’s a sign of big problems.

Live to please his mother

All he wants is to make his mother proud of him, not you. He wants his mother to think the best of him so he’ll do anything and everything to impress her and at times, more than he does for you. If his mother doesn’t like the way you dress he will pressure you to change it.

He takes her side

Every time you argue about something his mother did he always takes her side. He says things like “she is my mother, what do you expect me to do?”, “Why did you say that to her?” No woman should be competing with the bond that was formed decades ago. It’s annoying to know that whatever you do, your man always takes her side.
