In her first interview since leaving Metro FM, Unathi spoke to Gareth on CliffCentral and among other things she opened up about; she spoke of her ancestral calling which over the years has strengthened over the last few years.
"There's a spiritual calling there. I have already become more traditional. It is in the universe, I have already become more aware of the journey that I have to take," says Unathi who has been travelling to her hometown in the Eastern Cape twice a year to do traditional ceremonies.
"I have had to accept more responsibilities, spiritually, and that is part of the journey. It is a beautiful journey and one that I have to embark on. They (the ancestors) have been calling and I know the responsibilities. It is a journey that gets deeper and stronger as I get older," she told Gareth.
“It’s in the universe and already have made a way of such journeys that I have to take. I’ve had to accept more responsibilities spiritually, and it’s part of the journey – a beautiful journey. It’s a journey that gets stronger and more intense as you get older. I know mine will only fully develop in my third phase of womanhood.”
