Early last year Johnnie Walker introduced us to Jane Walker, a campaign that coincided with Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day celebrations. Jane Walker is a brand icon celebrating the many achievements of women and those on the shared journey toward gender equality and equal representation. At a corporate level, Diageo stays true to its mission by supporting the Jane Walker initiative through action-oriented programming. Diageo also promotes gender equality in the company - women comprise 40% of Diageo’s executive committee, nearly 40% of its Board, and nearly 50% of Johnnie Walker's expert blending team, who craft the fine whisky, are women.
With August being a very monumental month on the national calendar with a host of social events commemorating and celebrating the history of women in South Africa - Johnnie Walker hosted this exclusive brunch to conclude the celebratory month. Influential women across different industries joined Johnnie Walker at an afternoon filled with sensory pampering experiences, a lush brunch and refreshingly tastefilled whisky cocktails. In attendance were Michelle Mosalakae and Mbali Nkosi, the ravishing Buhle Samuels was also spotted amongst guests.
The event boasted a picturesque afternoon under the breathtaking spring sun at a gorgeous beauty bar with beautiful ladies enjoying bespoke Johnnie Walker based cocktails. Guests were offered a luxurious pampering session and a signature Vicky Crease brunch spread.
The lovely guests walked away with a spring-ready goodie bag filled with beauty products from the event partners, Estée Lauder and Unilever. The eco-friendly basket bag was completed with a Johnnie Walker Gold Label bottle.
