1. Out of the blue
Blue is a major colour focus this season. We’ve spotted it in a variety of shades and I don’t see why we can’t incorporate it into make-up repertoire. Luckily, blue eyeshadow complements our brown eyes perfectly. Try Sorbet’s Eye To Eye Eyeshadow Quad in Smokey Joe to create a sultry and modern moody eye. Sweep the bluest blue hue on the lid of the eye and use the darkest shade on the crease to create dimension.
TIP: Make the colour pop even more by lining your bottom lash line with the blue shade.
2. Winter Whites
An all-white ensemble gives you the freedom to play with any make-up look. I would definitely recommend a ‘less is more’ approach when it comes to your face. Create a clean canvas with Sorbet Bare Faced Liquid Foundation and conceal dark eyes with the Sorbet Under Cover Under Eye Concealer.
This dynamic duo will leave you with effortlessly chic a #nomakeup make-up finish.
3. Purple reign
What we are seeing a lot of on the runway is going full throttle with colour, wearing one hue in varying shades, all in on ensemble. Purple is just one of the chosen colours. I say be daring and top it off with a bold purple lip. Try the Sorbet Gets Lippy Lipstick in Pride.
The creamy formula is perfect for day and night wear, while keeping lips hydrated because of the coconut and lanolin used to make the lippie.
4. Pretty in Pink
The fashion God’s have spoken – pink is back and stronger than ever. Work it into your make-up by reintroducing blush, which had fallen by the wayside to make way for the highlighter trend. For standard use, sweep it on the apples of your cheeks to add warmth to your complexion. Try the Sorbet What a Cheek Blush Cheek Stamp, which gives your cheeks an instant pop of colour. The blush features a built-in applicator sponge for a no-mess application. It comes in 3 gorgeous shades that are specifically made for African complexions.
TIP: If you want to make it more edgy, use pink blush on the lids of your eyes – it looks absolutely stunning!
5. Jewel tones
Jewel colours shine in all their glory this season – from amethyst, ruby to emerald. To continue the glow effect on your face, try the Sorbet Shimmer & Glow Shimmer Bronzer. This is the perfect glow-getter. The back-pressed powder feels luxurious to the touch, and there are two palettes to choose from.
TIP: Use the Sorbet Get Cheeky Angled Blush Brush to dust the bronzer on to your upper cheekbones, down your nose and a little on your cupid’s bow.
Camel ensembles are difficult to pull off when worn with a simple foundation as you may look washed out. To counter act this contour your face to add dimension, use the Sorbet Contour Me Blush Duo to create the illusion of a super chiseled face.
Black will always be a wardrobe staple and this season is no different. Pair an all-black outfit with a head turning graphic eye. The Sorbet Stroke of Genius Precision Pen Eyeliner is the perfet tool to execute this!
The nifty curved pen makes creating lines on the eye area a breeze. It slides on smoothly, releasing the blackest black liquid.
8. Day-time metallic
Metallics are no longer reserved for the night-time. This applies to wardrobe and make-up choices. You can wear a metallic eye whenever and wherever you like. To make your sparkly eyes that much more glamorous go in hard with your mascara.
