Metro FM is going through yet other changes to their line up after SPHEctacula and DJ Naves left the Preparty after 7 years there has been speculation on who will take over.

Well, all was revealed this morning with Luthando ‘Lootlove’ Shosa and DJ Speedsta being announced as the new hosts of the slot, they will be hosting a new hip hop show called the ‘Absolute Hip hop’.

Lootlove seems to be excited about her new show coming up this Saturday.

I type this message with a very sore heart, unfortunately the lords timing can't be anticipated, You have to as a human being act in real time. In my third year as host of Hip Hop radio show "The Hip Hop Floor" & Hip Hop Chart show "The Hip Hop Hot 99" along with "YTKO" mix Friday's resident. After long thought and nothing but great moments when I sit and think about the time I had in the red building. ??? I have decided to let the lord do his work and lead me to the next chapter in my life. To all the Yires, GP's Koolest, East Rand special S/O to you guys - You have been riding with the 99.2 Frequency since day one, All the academics that walked into a big building with no idea of what everything they've ever wanted to do looks like to now hearing you on air, or bumping into you either upstairs or in a tech room, Fifi in the room filled with lots of people always because of the amount of love you have for human beings, Bra Ish with his always welcoming personality when you walk into the building, so many people to meantion. Everyone at YFM, Thank you so much!!! It is time for me to spread my wings, forever in my heart!!! ?? #WhatsNextIsAllThatMatters A post shared by DJ Speedsta (@djspeedsta) on

While Speedsta shared a long heartfelt message on leaving Y FM and hinting on joining Metro FM with the hashtag “#WhatsNextIsAllThatMatters”.

That’s not the only change to their weekend entertainment, the station has also brought on Mpho ‘Mo G’ Madise on the breakfast show, ‘The WKDNR’ on Saturdays. Also their much loved Sunday segment ‘The love movement’ will be extended from 9 am till 9pm so they’ll be more romantic jams for those who love their soulful Sundays.

We hope they aren’t any more surprises…
