On the first day we were based at Bakubung bush lodge were we got treated to a delicious lunch upon arrival then settled in our allocated rooms. Later on we went on a refreshing game drive were we saw the majority of the big 5.
To end off a beautiful day, we went for a Boma dinner. We were welcomed by amazing Tswana traditional singers and dancers who entertained us for the rest of the evening. Expect to enjoy a variety of meat cuts preparred in an african way at Bakubung’s boma dinner.
Our day started in the early hours, because we had to go for a game walk. Bakubung is the only game reserve in SA that offers its guest an option to do a game walk. It was quiet a scary experience to see a rhino at a close range, but rangers are there should anything out of the ordinary occur.
After all the walking we did we then rested at their magnificent spa.
We headed to their sister lodge Kwa Maritane. A second game drive was on the itinerary for day2 and luckily this time around we got to complete our big 5 tick off by seeing Lions.
The final day was nothing short of amazing as we watched a snake demonstration before check out.
If it’s a full bush experience you’re looking for then these two lodges are for you.
