accreditation

Last week Thursday 27 March, saw the opening of Pretoria’s first Häagen-Dazs Global concept store at the Brooklyn Mall, and wow, we’re we impressed! Walking into the store took you out of the mall and took you into a place of red velvet elegance and sophistication. The store is designed to enhance the global Häagen-Dazs experience. It will be one of the largest shops of the brand’s portfolio in South Africa! In celebration of the launch, rugby legend Victor Matfield was the special guest of day, having chosen two of his favourite flavours, which for a limited time was dubbed as Matfield’s Mix. By purchasing one of these scoops, customers stood the chance of winning an autographed rugby jersey. The rest of the guests were served indulgent cocktails as they enjoyed their scoop of delicious ice cream. And if you were a lucky passerby, you would have been able to receive of 30 000 free scoops of the delicious ice cream! Yummy! Ice cream lovers can now sit down and enjoy the new House of Häagen-Dazs global experience with their irresistible creations. Janine Ho-Lin, Brand Manager at General Mills says, “The menu will carry the 21 famous flavours, adored by consumers from around the world, including the new Cookie Dough variant for those who relish a taste of something playful to take you back to your childhood.” So why Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria? “Brooklyn Mall attracts people who enjoy the finer things in life and is situated in the heart of Pretoria’s cosmopolitan Embassy Suburbs, a vibrant hub of activity for the Capital’s most prestigious neighbourhood.” Explains Ho-Lin. Häagen-Dazs launched in 1961 when company founder Reuben Mattus began selling his ice cream from a wagon on the streets of New York. He then moved up to speciality gourmet shops and by 1976, the company began franchising the super- premium ice cream concept in the US and around the world. Make sure your next pit stop is the Häagen-Dazs Global Concept Store!
