Despite many great successes over the past few months, the SA hip hop industry suffered an unexpected great loss this weekend.
Nkululeko Habedi also known as Flabba (from the grou Skwatta Kamp) was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend during the early hours of Monday morning. It was reported that his brother witnessed his death and saw him, covered in blood.
Skwatta Kamp was and still hugely influential in the music industry. They knew exactly how to engage with their fans through interaction and great music.
Some of Flabba's fans shared their emotions and condolences on social media
It's a sad day indeed, not only for South African hip hop but for everyone who believed in Flabba's talent. His witty and funny lyrics, his sense of futuristic thoughts when it comes to music and his raw talent will always be remembered.
RIP great soldier!
