Brace yourself, Mzansi, Africa’s first mega music festival – TribeOne Dinokeng - will be hitting our shores soon! Over 150 artists will be performing on three main stages in Dinokeng, which is outside the historic diamond-mining town of Cullinan, Tshwane. A crowd of over 100 000 is expected to attend the grand event – Wowza! CEO of TribeOne Festivals and ROCKSTAR4000, Jandre Louw, said, “This is an historic moment in time for the African continent and for the world as we embark on a journey to Africa’s first mega music festival introduction to the global stage of major multi day festivals…” The festival will be held on the weekend of 26th-28th Sepetember 2014. A “Phase One” announcement of the talent was made at a press event at Hard Rock Café, South Africa. And we’re super excited to tell you which big acts will be performing! US Hip Hop recording artist, J. Cole are set to headline Diamonds Fields main stage on Friday night, 26th September. Four time Granny Award winning megastars, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will then headline on the same stage on Saturday, 27th September, while US Rapper, Kid Ink takes the third spot of being one of the US internationals who will also be performing on Saturday. Several of Africa’s biggest stars will also be performing at the festival: Karen Zoid, Liquideep, Gang of Instrumentals, Lady Lea, Keko and Naava Grey (Uganda), Daara J (Senegal), Namibian Music Award winning stars Gazza, Erna Chirmu, Elvis se Seun (Namibia) and more. All access for entire weekend Both tickets have three tiers including Regular tickets, VIP tickets & Rockstar tickets (which are VVIP tickets). Tickets can be attained either by outright purchase or ‘Payment Plan’ (pay 50% deposit to secure tickets and pay balance before August). Once tickets have been purchased, a notification of accommodation options will be available from June.
