SATY awards celebrity judges announced


Marking its 3rd anniversary this year, ANN7’s SATY awards is pleased to announce a panel of celebrity judges for its star-studded awards ceremony which will take place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, on 25 November 2016.

Experts in a variety of fields have been invited to become judges to shortlist and finally decide on the nominees in a range of categories. They are:

Basetsana Kumalo.

Former Miss South Africa and successful businesswoman Basetsana.

Sbusiso (DJ Sbu) Leope

DJ Sbu is also a SATY Award winner for 2015.

Popular actress, wedding planner and businesswoman Sophie Ndaba.

Ndaba received acclaim for playing Queen Moroka in the SABC 1 sopie – Generations.

Legendary Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Brian Baloyi.

During his stint at Kaizer Chiefs, Baloyi played no less than 300 official matches, winning several awards and trophies. He recently returned to the Amakhosi as an assistant goalkeeper coach.

Legendary musician Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.

Mabuse also sits on the Boards of the National Arts Council and the South African Music Rights Organisation (Samro). His famous afro-pop song Burnout, sold more than 500 000 copies.

Miss Earth South Africa Carla Viktor
