Meeting the in-laws can be nerve-wrecking experience but to live with them under their rules for one week – sparks are bound to fly! MTV (DStv Channel 130) is introducing a brand new docu-series Sleeping with the Family, set to explore the challenges of novel love while parents set the rules to which they should live by. Each one-hour long episode will show a young couple agreeing to live with one set of in-laws and abiding by their laws for one week. More drama ensues when the parents are made to live the following week under the young couple’s rules. The aim of the series takes seeing things from another perspective to another level, resulting in respect, understanding and to tighten family ties. An interactive microsite, “Ruler Switcher” has been developed to celebrate the launch of the new series. Users will be able to control their viewing experience on their personal computer by using their bedroom light switch and a webcam. By flicking the switch, users can express whether the young couple on their screen are behaving in a way their parents would approve of. The site also lets users decide whether they prefer to live by #KidsRules or #ParentsRules. To get involved, visit their microsite here: http://ruleswitcher.mtv.com/. Sleeping with the Family airs every Wednesday night on MTV at 20:30 CAT.
