Living with an illness, sexual assault allegations and his downfall, Somizi reveals in his book.
Media personality Somizi’s much anticipated autobiography Dominoes, Unbreakable Spirit is coming out tomorrow. We are all curious to find out the details of his personal journey. Writer, journalist and author of the book, Lesley Mofokeng says there’s a lot more that’s covered than what has already been reported in the media.
“The book covers the 45-year life of Somizi. Some of it I’d like to think is X-rated, but still fun to read and jaw-dropping.”
He talks about a disease that he’s living with. In the book he talks about going for a check-up and finding out that everything else is ok except for this one thing.”
“Maybe awkward moments too; I think that’s the chapter that will get people talking and if you want some sensational titbits rush to that chapter.”
Another chapter, Lesley mentions will catch people’s attention is the one that explores Somizi’s 2007’s sexual assault allegation.
“There is also a chapter focusing on the downfall of Somizi. This was a point in his life where things started going haywire. It’s about a story that was widely reported about in the papers that he sexually assaulted a man,” Mofokeng explains.
“This was his chance to state his case and say his side of the story. He is quite honest about what happened, how they met, how it ended and the shock that he had when the police came to take him in for sexual assault.”
