Springtime party ideas

accreditation

PartyPlanner When spring is in the air, there's no better way to celebrate than to invite over some girl friends and throw a fabulous garden party. KB and her friends, Rhythm City co-star Nolo Phiri, and the lovely Tessa Made are in high spirits and ready to toast spring with delicious cocktails and good food. The table is set up specifically with spring in mind with great colour combinations and textures. The girls admire their setup of grass place mats and the contrasting snazzy maracas on each of their plates.

Tips for planning a spring party

1. Cocktail  craze:

Take five minutes to go online to find great cocktail recipes  to serve your guests.  Consider also mixing cocktails in pitchers for the table so the guests can top up without having to wait too long.

2. Mix and match:

What better way to welcome the new season but with great colour! Introduce details such as brightly coloured heart-stones on your napkins.

3. Yummy salad:

Try to always surprise your guests with one unexpected dish. Moyo’s kudu and strawberry salad is simply delicious, using fresh ingredients that blend together to create a uniquely tasty salad.

4. Chop chop:

Make sure you have the correct cutlery for the meal being served. If serving steak or chops, make sure you supply a steak knife for the guests’ place settings.

5. Fun in the sun:

It’s your party, so have some fun with it. Think about putting maracas on each plate as a quirky light-hearted item that guests can play with during the day and take home as a gift from the host.

6. Prawn pleasure:

Leave tails on when serving prawns to make them more attractive and do remember to supply a small side dish for your guests to store the tails away from their meal.
