The Empire star has stunned fans with her amazing weight loss in recent months and her fitness expert Mike T reveals she has really stepped up to the plate with fearless tenacity when challenged with difficult work-outs.
“Honestly, Taraji is very disciplined in the gym,” he tells America's InStyle magazine. “She’s the type of person that if you tell her she can’t do something, she’s definitely going to want to do it even harder. Her focus is second to none. She’s a warrior in the gym. I’ve never had anything that she’s backed down from - she’s a dream client.”
Mike T notes most of their sessions centre around Taraji's famous backside, which has lovingly been dubbed the 'Cookie booty' by fans in honour of her Empire character Cookie Lyon.
“She definitely loves squats. It’s one of her favourites," the celebrity trainer shares while addressing how they keep her bum super fit. "She’s pretty much known for her derriere and we make sure that we maximise our workouts for that.”
To drop some excess weight, Mike T also worked with Taraji on maintaining a healthy diet, and he urges her fans who are also trying to lose weight to start there for maximum success.
“The main thing to focus on when you don’t have access to a gym is your diet because eating properly can help you lose weight alone,” he notes, revealing Taraji eats clean high-protein meals with raw vegetables and healthy carbohydrates to maintain her thin frame.© Cover Media
