She’s anaemic

If your iron levels are low, your body doesn’t have enough iron to help your red blood cells carry oxygen via your blood throughout your whole body. Women are more prone to iron-deficiency anaemia than men. An iron supplement helps your red blood cells do their job so you won’t feel exhausted all the time.

She’s pregnant

Anaemia is more common during pregnancy and is associated with low birth weight, premature birth and even maternal mortality. You’re more likely to become anaemic during pregnancy because of the excess amount of blood the body produces to help provide nutrients to the baby. There are three types of anaemia that are most prevalent during pregnancy: iron-deficiency anaemia, folate-deficiency (folic acid) anaemia and vitamin B12 deficiency anaemia.

She’s menstruating

When the blood loss is greater than your body’s ability to replace the lost red blood cells you can become anaemic. Women who experience heavy menstrual bleeding are at greater risk of becoming anaemic and will benefit from iron supplements.

She’s a new mom

Blood loss during and after child birth increases a woman’s risk of developing anaemia. Iron-deficiency anaemia has been linked to an increase in postnatal depression and the prevalence of urinary tract infections, fatigue and exhaustion, insufficient milk syndrome and reduced breast-milk quality. An iron supplement is therefore important for mom and baby’s health.

She exercises

Women who regularly do intense exercise are at an increased risk of becoming anaemic. While it’s still possible to exercise with anaemia, you run the risk of developing lactic acidosis, of feeling lethargic and of experiencing fatigue more quickly as well as a decrease in endurance. Your recovery time might be longer and you might feel more muscle stiffness than you’d expect.

zyferTM is a gentle new generation iron supplement that contains the unique and patented iron Ferrochel® as well as vitamin B12 and folic acid for fatigue relief. This iron is a chelate/glycinate, which makes it highly bioavailable and easily absorbed to restore iron levels, and it won’t compete with other minerals or medication for absorption. zyfer won’t cause nausea and constipation, which is common to other iron supplements, and together with vitamin B12 will restore your energy levels and leave you feeling well.
