Things to never say to someone in a commited relationship

These are some of the statements that irritate people in relationships.

‘You’re young, you need to explore more’

With that said, they mean you should have one night stands, get on tinder and go on endless dates that never really go anywhere. You’re in love and you don’t need anyone to tell you otherwise.

‘How can you tell that he’s the one’

Not that it’s any of their business but it’s really hard explaining the feeling to someone who’s never experienced it before.

‘I don’t believe in monogamy’

That’s okay, but let people who do believe in it flourish in their relationships.

‘Doesn’t it get boring’

If you were bored, you probably wouldn’t still be in the relationship. And, assuming that dating someone for a long time results in boredom is annoying. Happy couples are always finding ways to keep the fire burning.

‘I didn’t think you’d want to come’

Assuming that people in relationships don’t have a life of their own should stop. Whether it’s a girl’s night or not; if your friends are going to have fun without you because you have a boyfriend then you should consider getting new ones.

‘Don’t you find other men attractive’

This is a rather ignorant statement to say. People in relationships also have eyes and they acknowledge hot men because just like you, they’re human.

‘Don’t you think he might be cheating’

Monogomous relationships are based on trust so letting such thoughts play with you will only take away your happiness for nothing.
