Tips on how to build your own girl gang

Life coach Nomase Sonqishe gives us tips on how to nurture your girl gang and take it to new heights.

Build a solid foundation

According to Sonqishe common interests and needs are what should form the basis of your relationship, as well as a sense of inspiration.  “When people have the same life or professional objectives and goals, their relationship becomes stronger” says Nomase Sonqishe.

Maintain a healthy bond

Psychologist and international theorist, Audrey Katsidzira shares fundmental guidelines that will assist in building and solidifying such bonds.

·      Be you: Being yourself is the best and easiest thing you could ever do for yourself. Attract people who are drawn to the qualities you possess.

·      Live without seeking approval from others: This may be a challenge to most women because naturally we are rational beings who thrive on acceptance. But, always remember presenting a fake version of yourself to the world is draining.

·      Embrace the difference: Each of your friends will have bring something different to your life.

·      Develop trust: Choose people whose energy you connect with to support and demonstrate that they can depend on you.

We’ve compiled a list of our favorite local and international girl gangs:

Carol Bouwer, Basetsana Kumalo and Khanyi Dlomi are a solid girl squad and excelling in business.

Togetherness will not mean assimilation... Staying connected to your essence means remaining uniquely yourself in any environment... Your friendships will complete you as they help highlight what it is that makes you different! In highlighting what makes you unique, we choose to celebrate you in your fullness... stay connected and you will not miss it. You do not become clones of one another but become champions of each one’s unique attributes... the same applies within all other relationships including marriage, you enhance! Each person is left better off because you entered their lives! Each one more of who they are because you see them! Truly see them! As we start the week, I remind you to seek time alone to connect to your truest self... go impact the lives of those colleagues who can benefit from an encounter with you but by all means find half an hour for you! Sit with your thoughts and connect with the God in you! In this pic I see four whole beings, none the same as the other! Each happy to celebrate the other! Here’s to celebrating our unique spirits! Here’s to asking why am I here? Who is happier because I lived? Who is wiser because I spoke? Who is warmer because I held them... my Vika’s hubby @bonnkeshipalana asks if the world would have been different but for your presence! Here’s to seeking significance rather than popularity! Here’s to a week of seeking meaning! I celebrate you ladies... go sprinkle some love and purpose as we start this new week???????? thank you @basetsanakumalo @pelemkha @khanyidhlomo for a spiritually enriching week! #eyeswideshut #fourshadesofjoy #thumamina #iambecauseyouare #hikingunfit
