Invest in good underwear

This is the perfect way to get your confidence back. A good fitting maternity bra that will be comfortable for you while breastfeeding is a must-have. Also get a great pair of the trim and lift panties that hug you and hold all the bits that still need some work.

Eat healthy

You might feel a little out of sorts after eating for two, but a good balanced diet and lots of water will do wonders for your energy levels, and work towards getting your into shape post-baby.

Try to get at least a 30-minute workout each day. Even if it’s walking around the block with the baby, a little exercise will do wonders for you to clear your mind and help you to feel good about yourself.

Pamper yourself

Spa treatments will make you feel beautiful; get out of the house and do something for yourself. But if you can’t go to the spa then get your own masks and pamper kits at home and have your girlfriends come over and do each other’s nails.

Sleep is so important! So try taking power naps as well when your little one sleeps. You’ll be less likely to feel run down, cranky and your partner and those around will also appreciate it.

Ask for help

There are dishes, nappy changes, laundry and so much more but you don’t have to be superwoman. Ask for help so you can get a breather; a good support system allows you to be able to take time out for yourself.

Remember its okay

Take it easy on yourself. Seriously – take it one day at a time and release yourself from expectations. There's nothing wrong with doing a few small things to make you feel and look more like yourself, but ditch the pressure of "getting back to your old self right now." So appreciate yourself and remember if it isn’t perfect, it’s okay.
