Touch brings Wi-Fi to the hood

Radio jock and businessman, Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molife has partnered with Telkom to bring Wi-Fi spots to hoods around the country in an effort to gain more listenership for his Touch HD app-based radio station.

After a successful launch of Touch HD, Touch is determined to have a bigger reach for his app-based online radio station. The DJ and businessman has partnered with Telkom to provide Wi-Fi hotspots in townships across the country.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Touch says: “TOUCH HD is gonna take the responsibility to flood townships just to make sure that access to data becomes a human right. And possibly the right people will join us. It is a costly exercise but it’s what we want to do, we want people to access TOUCH HD.”

He mentioned to the publication that the Wi-Fi hotspots will be called “hoodspots.”
