In celebrating Yves Saint Laurent"s 50th anniversary in beauty, Thula Sindi and seven other South African designers were asked to interpret the house"s new couture colour palettes.
Thula Sindi was given the Afrique palette with five shades of exotic colours: think of the earthly safari under the fiery sun.
The palette was inspired by Yves Saint Laurent"s own story. He was born in Oran, Algeria in 1936.
It was in Morocco where he found inspiration for his work and his colours. His ashes were scattered in the Majorelle online casino Gardens of his home in Marrakech, Morocco.
