Tumi Morake scoops top award at the Comics’ Choice Awards

accreditation

The scene was lit this weekend at the sixth annual Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards, where ten of South Africa’s funniest people walked away with the prestigious award.

Skhumba, Kagiso Lediga and Tumi Morake rocked the crowd with their hysterically funny performances. Tumi became the first female to break the streak by scooping the Edgars comic of the year award.

The event, produced by John Vlismas and Taffia Keight, and directed by Rob van Vuuren, featured not only SA’s comedic giants, but funny men from the rest of the continent as well.
