Global Citizen Festival

The wait is finally over. The Global Citizen Festival is this weekend!

World leaders, thinkers and celebrities have descended on Joburg and the excitement is at fever pitch. We have put together a checklist to make sure you are all sorted for this coming Sunday, 2 December.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z will headline the festival with other heavyweights like Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Wizkid, Femi Kuti, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Eddie Vedder, Kacey Musgraves, Sho Madjozi and Tiwa Savage.

We know the roads leading to FNB Stadium are going to be packed and busy, so leave early to avoid the traffic. Or better yet, why not park-and-ride for free?

If you travelling before 12 pm, you catch Rea Vaya BRT or Metro Bus at the following points:

Rea Vaya

Gates open at 11 am so plan your route and get there early.
