We’re not talking about a bog standard lipgloss here, these products combine the best elements from both products to create the perfect end result! Here’s just a few of the pros of using them.
It takes one swipe
Rather than slathering on several layers of lippy to get a good coating, just one application will be enough for a bold colour. Alternatively, if you’re using a light shade and want your pucker to pop even more, you can go ahead and add a cheeky extra swipe for more depth.
No rub off
The heavily pigmented formula means it dries quickly and doesn’t smudge, so you can drink, eat, and even fit in a sneaky kiss without worrying about leaving a mark. Even on a warm day, when the rest of your face may be melting slightly due to the heat, you won’t find your liquid lipstick running onto your chin.
No touch-ups needed
As mentioned above, liquid lipsticks are sturdy options, so you won’t have to worry about adding more after a few hours. The colour is long lasting and doesn’t fade like your average lipstick. However, this means you should be wary about applying it neatly as it isn’t a matter of using a tissue as a quick fix; you’ll need a good make-up remover to amend any mishaps and to take it off at the end of the day.
A choice of finishes
Like normal lipsticks, you can get a variety of textures from liquid products, including matte and glossy. Of course, the glossy option won’t be as moisturising as a lipgloss, but you’ll still have a sexy sheen on your mouth.
Because they’re designed to stay in place no matter what, liquid lipsticks can be slightly drying. Before application we recommend using a lip balm for a bit of extra nourishment. It will also help the liquid glide on easier, meaning less room for mistakes.
And just because it’s a liquid doesn’t mean you have to drop lip liner as any extra definition you can create will work wonders.
Take your time when putting it on and remember liquid lipsticks are bold; apply with caution!
