5 minutes with MTV Base presenter Tshego Koke

How has your life changed since winning the MTV Base VJ Search competition?

My life has changed immensely. I’ve grown to love my craft more, and more importantly I’ve had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with A-listers of the entertainment industry.

What are the key lessons you’ll take going forward?

To always be humble and be very patient. Also, I’ve learnt to work harder than what is expected of me and to keep working on my craft.

What advice do you have for the competition contestants?

Never give up on your dream. If you don’t make it now, don’t disregard future auditions and always keep investing into anything that gets you closer to your dream.

What’s next for you?

Well, I definitely want to affiliate myself more with big brands and to also delve more into the radio side of the entertainment industry. I’d also like to work in the fashion industry and see what I can offer to the masses.
