Zulu Makhathini as the MC, there was no way the show wasn’t going to be lit. He
surprised fans as he perfomed his hit single Uniform alongside award-winning DJ Tira.
The Axe Party of the Year was headlined by Black Coffee, Nasty C Destruction Boyz, Rich Mnisi, Bontle Modiselle and many more.
Fashion also took centrestage as guests had the privilege of shopping at the DEAD pop-up store – a street-wear brand that gave away limited-edition threads in collaboration with AXE. After the search for an up-and-coming fashion designer to collaborate with, AXE Maker Rich Mnisi discovered Nicholas Vries and together they unveiled their look for Nasty C just before he hit the stage. Rich also revealed a custom #AXEPartyOfTheYear jacket designed for the headline act Black Coffee.
Unilever marketing deodorants director Keegan Alicks says, “As a brand, AXE encourages everyone to own what makes them unique and find their magic, and AXE brought the magic of Mzansi to life with the help of our makers.”
In addition to all the magic that was unveiled, AXE also revealed its newest product AXE Gold, a new grooming range that goes beyond great fragrance and includes the AXE’s first-ever body wash release in South Africa, further solidifying the brand as guys’ go-to when it comes to their grooming and fragrance needs.
