Castle Lite’s first-ever all-female hip-hop concert, titled Hip-Hop Herstory will be taking place this coming Saturday, and we must admit – we are beyond excited. The headline act will be rapper Young M.A who won the hearts of many with smash single ‘Ooouuu and Queens-born rapper Roxanne Shante.

Our very own September cover star Luthando ‘King Loot’ Shosha will be co-presenting the show, alongside Lee Kasumba and The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee. In the issue, LootLove says: “I’ve watched local hip-hop literally grow from nothing in SA to being one of the most popular genres in the country. Knowing that I’m contributing to this journey in such an impactful way is such a dope feeling.”

#HipHopHerstory is going to be a JAM!

We hope this is a first of many shows, which aim to celebrate and set the record straight on women in the genre.

Who are you excited to see? It’s all going down at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on 8 September from 4 pm.

Tickets are available at Nutickets.
