Our TRUE LOVE February cover story Mapaseka Mokwele has announced her departure from Kaya FM, where she offered the station’s listeners insightful conversation topics for the last seven years through her show, Home with Mapaseka. “My journey at Kaya FM has been nothing short of amazing! The time has come for me to move on and focus on other avenues of my life and career. I will miss the conversations and great insights from all the Afropolitans, contributors and producers,” Mokwele says.

We first met the media personality back in 1996 as the Your Own Business presenter. Her broadcasting career also includes being the anchor of SABC3’s prime time English news bulletin for three years, and hosting SABC2’s Motswako.

Away from the mic, Mokwele is married to her now former Kaya FM colleague Thabo "T-Bose" Mokwele, whom she has five kids with.

Mokwele had mentioned in the TRUE LOVE February issue plans to complete her Masters of Management in Business Management Coaching qualification. Maybe that’s one of the tasks that she’ll busy herself with. Or she could be starting the Mokwele’s old age plan of living on a farm. “We want to wake up early, do our chores on the farm and spend the rest of the day relaxing,” the pair enthused.

TRUE LOVE wishes Mapaseka Mokwele all the best with her future endeavours!
