Married At First Sight South Africa returns to screens in October

The second ‘super-sized’ local season of the international reality series, has been increased to nine captivating episodes, from six last season. This season the brave singles who tie the knot have the added spoil of a honeymoon to Mauritius, sponsored by Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and World Leisure Holidays.

Season 2 starts with a ‘Reunion Special’ featuring the participants from the first series and a glimpse into where they are now. Produced by Oxyg3n Media, Married At First Sight South Africa season 2 again follows six South Africans who look for long term love with a stranger who’re they are matched up with by a panel of experts.

New to the Married At First Sight SA expert panel is psychologist Martsie Dreyer. She is a registered Counselling Psychologist with 28 years’ experience and has worked with participants in numerous television series. Relationship expert Paula Quinsee, sexual health expert Dr Shingai Mutambirwa and financial expert Winnie Kunene all return for the second season. As does well-known radio and TV presenter Sam Cowen, who is the show’s facilitator.

The four experts will nurture the new couples beyond the altar as they live together as a married couple for six weeks. Financial expert Winnie Kunene will offer the couples financial advice in conjunction with 1Life Insurance’s Truth About Money initiative (www.truthaboutmoney.co.za), which offers all South Africans access to a comprehensive financial literacy course and debt management advice.
