Mmabatho Montsho showcases her talents with her first ever art exhibition

While we celebrate Women’s Month, Mmabatho Montsho hosted her first ever art exhibition titled Manyano which means kopanelo (togetherness), at the Women’s Jail at Constitution Hill. Her art work is compelling and this exhibition was not your typical one, church women were invited. They sang soulful hymns when the exhibition started.

The venue, at what was previously a prison during the apartheid days was appropriate, a place where women of the past endured great struggles.

The exhibition is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm and it’s free.
