“I lost my mom a few months ago, and still don’t know how I’m feeling. Though I’m better, I don’t have the words to describe what I’m going through. I’m taking each day as it comes — I’m in the grey area of emotions. I’m blessed to have experienced the woman my mom was. She was quadriplegic, but the minute you walked in, you would forget that she was disabled. She looked at life from such a positive viewpoint.
Whenever I complained, she would say: ‘I can’t even wipe my own tears or feed myself, and you’re sitting here complaining’. She shaped my view on life. For instance, if you annoy me, I’ll tell you and then move right on. I don’t dwell on the negative.
My love for radio stems from my low self-esteem while growing up. I never believed that I would become an actress. I started in radio and fell in love. Acting then found me. I graduated from Boston Media House in radio broadcasting in 2013, interned at Metro FM, and then became a content producer on Radio 2000.
