Soul singer Sam Smith, real name Samuel Frederick Smith, announced today that his Thrill of it All Tour will be coming to South Africa in April 2019, in Joburg and Cape Town.
Discovery cardholders get an exclusive 48-hour presale from today.
Presented by 94.7, KFM, M-Net and Channel 24, the Thrill of it All will see Sam collaborating with his close friend Jimmy Napes, Timbaland, Malay, Jason ‘Poo Bear’ Boyd and Stargate, reports 94.7.
Smith’s first single, Lay Me Down was released in 2012; shorty after the 26-year-old hit the charts as the featured singer on the Disclosure song Latch. Smith’s next hit was on a featured role by Naughty Boy’s Bollywood-inspired La La La. The song became the No.1 single in the UK in 2013. He then released his first EP, Nirvana, according to the 97.4FM website.
In 2014, Smith released In The Lonely Hour, a debut full-length album which earned him six Grammy nominations. Smith walked away with four top awards at the 2015 Grammys Awards – Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for Stay With Me, and Best Pop Vocal Album for In The Lonely Hour.
