19-year-old comic, Elsa Majimbo, rose to fame when she turned our lockdown blues into light-hearted moments with her quirky sense of humour and signature laugh. Now, the chip-chewing star has caught the attention of international beauty brand, Fenty Beauty.
In a hilarious skit, Elsa has collaborated with the brand in a luxury fashion campaign to showcase their latest eyewear range.
She took to her Instagram page to reveal the collaboration and let us know that she was now besties with Fenty’s founder, Rihanna.
“Just a @FENTY campaign for my best friend @badgalriri. Rihanna doesn't necessarily know that we are bff's, but that's okay, she will one day. Thank you to the fam at @FENTY for believing in my vision,” she wrote.
Speaking to True Love earlier this year, the journalism student who hopes to go into advertising and marketing, said that her videos had led her to that career path much sooner than she expected.
“I’m in a space where I receive a lot of products to advertise to the world, and I have to be very strategic about it. It’s very much like being in the advertising industry, and I’ve got an opportunity to do it younger and earlier than I had expected. The space I’m in right now is a major push to where I initially wanted to be,” she said.
“There’s just a thing about enticing people to do something that speaks to me. It’s a very creative space, and you have to be very intelligent and strategic to make it in this industry, and I like a mental challenge. It’s something that tests your intelligence – much like a puzzle – and I like that,” she added.
