The 91st Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, on 24 February 2019. These were the first awards in 30 years that didn’t have a host. But that didn’t deter the guests from having a festive time.

Adam Lambert and the Queen kicked off the ceremony with a medley of We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions, with images of Freddie Mercury displayed in the backdrop.

A mesmerising rendition of Shallow from A Star Is Born was delivered by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, making it evident as to why they walked away with the Best Original Song award.

When it came to the red carpet, old-school glamour, and pink and metallic gowns were the order of the night. We also witnessed gender-bending fashion and the perfection of capes.

Billy Porter made an unforgettabe fashion statement on the red carpet, as he arrived in a Christian Siriano tuxedo dress. Oh, the drama!

The female stars didn’t hold back – from Kacey Musgraves’s and Linda Cardellini’s tulle ensembles, to Gemma Chan and Angela Bassett draped in elegant creations, the ladies maintained their A-list status.

Best Actress nominees Glenn Close and Melissa McCarthy took on the long-standing red-carpet trend of capes. Their looks were sleek and oh-so glamorous.

From the hottest duos to the cutest pairs, Hollywood's cutest couples took on the 2019 Oscars in style. J.Lo and her buea ARod didn't disappoint as they looked as stunning as ever.
