Topics to cover on the first three dates

First date: who are you?

Unless in a case where the first date is with a childhood friend, you’re going there with no clue of the kind of person he is. This is your chance to know more about your date. Avoid using the interview ‘tell me about yourself’ style. Rather ask direct questions like where he’s from, what he enjoys reading or eating and if he enjoys travelling or not. Remember it’s only the beginning so keep the conversation light.

How do you unwind?

People unwind differently hence there’s no right or wrong answer to this. The idea is to just determine whether your methods of relaxing are similar or clashing.

Second date: What stimulates him in relationships

Now that you’ve gone through the first date and enjoyed his company chances are he’ll score himself a second date. At this point there’s a fifty-fifty percent chance that you’ll be in a relationship or not. Hence you need to know where he stands with regards to relationships.  Ask him what he loves in a woman or what his views are on relationships? This will give you an indication of whether you’d want him as a boyfriend or not.

Future plans?

There’s no way a second date could end without you tapping into the future topic. For some women it’s the main determing factor so be sure not to leave it out. This should cover what he does for a living, is he content in his position and where he wants to progress to eventually.

Third date: Family, spirituality, and children

Issues about family are personal hence you need to leave it for last. Without pushing too hard try touching on the ex topic and understand what went wrong. Even though the majority of people believe in higher power you can’t assume the same about your date so rather ask. Follow with questions about children. How many does he want to have and is he willing to compromise?
