Filmmaker Tebogo Malope shares why the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is a win
The letters FE in the brand-new Galaxy S20 FE stand for Fan Edition. Samsung asked their fans what elements they loved the most about the Samsung S20, which was released earlier this year, and then used this information to create a more affordable phone that included these top features.
Renowned filmmaker Tebogo Malope – director of Africa’s first Netflix series and winner of several awards for his South African commercials and music videos – is also a fan (he even shot a music video with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra). Reflecting on his experience with Samsung, he says they clearly listened to the fans while developing their new phone.
He elaborates on his favourite camera features: “With
the large image sensors and multi-frame processing, you can take richer, more
vibrant images, even in low light so you can simply snap and go. I loved the
fact that you can stabilise motion in-shot while you record with night mode.
It’s the multi-frame processing with AI frame integration that makes it
possible.”
He says it may not be applicable while we’re all still social distancing, but when the crowds come back, the powerful 30X Space Zoom is going to be a win. “It lets you capture a crowd from a distance and then zoom in on one area. From there, editing and sharing photos and video is a breeze. The fact that it has a 4500mAh battery that keeps going as you create your magic is another big bonus.”
In short: “This device is a star in the making!”
